1. Overview

FBD Bot ("we," "us") operates fbdbot.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. We collect only what is necessary to operate the Service.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: When you subscribe, we collect your email address. Your password is stored as a one-way cryptographic hash and is never recoverable. We do not store your full name unless you provide it.

Payment information: Payment processing is handled entirely by FastSpring, our merchant of record. We do not store credit card numbers, bank account details, or full payment credentials. We receive from FastSpring: subscription status, subscription ID, order amounts, and whether a promo code was used.

Usage data: We use PostHog for anonymous traffic and product analytics. This may include page views, feature usage, and conversion events. PostHog data is stored on PostHog's servers. We use this solely for product improvement.

Support communications: Support conversations via Crisp are stored on Crisp's servers and accessible to us. We associate your email and subscription status with your support session to provide context.

Technical data: Server logs may capture IP addresses and request metadata for security and debugging purposes. These logs are retained for up to 30 days.

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain access to the Service
To process payments and manage your subscription via FastSpring
To generate and manage your API key for the Bot client
To respond to support requests
To send transactional emails (subscription confirmation, payment failures)
To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
To improve the product using aggregated analytics

4. Third-Party Services

FastSpring (fastspring.com) — payment processing and subscription management. FastSpring acts as merchant of record and has its own privacy policy.

PostHog (posthog.com) — product analytics. Data is anonymous and aggregated. PostHog has its own privacy policy.

Crisp (crisp.chat) — customer support chat. Conversations are stored on Crisp's servers. Crisp has its own privacy policy.

Supabase — database hosting. Your account data is stored in Supabase-managed PostgreSQL. Supabase has its own privacy policy and security certifications.

Vercel — website hosting. Vercel processes requests and may log access data. Vercel has its own privacy policy.

Anthropic Claude API — used server-side to evaluate trade setups. Trade setup data (price levels, bar data) is sent to Anthropic's API. No personally identifiable information is included in these API calls.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days after cancellation. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. Audit logs may be retained for up to one year for compliance purposes. Payment records may be retained longer as required by law.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including: access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of your data, and portability of your data. To exercise these rights, contact us through the support chat or contact page.

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the GDPR. If you are in California, you have rights under the CCPA. We will respond to verified requests within 30 days.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS), hashed passwords (bcrypt), and access controls. No security measure is perfect; use the Service at your own risk.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us immediately.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
